Nebraska Students Build Formula SAE Race Car

University of Nebraska-Lincoln students—from the College of Engineering and beyond—built UNL's first Formula SAE car and raced it in an international competition. Formula SAE is a student design challenge organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers (known as SAE International). Lincoln, Nebraska is the host to this Formula SAE competition for five years. The 2012 event in Lincoln drew 1,000 participants from 81 registered teams, representing the US and several other nations.
